Spiders In The Nursery Become A Cause For Concern
Spiders can be issues for almost any home. Lately, we’ve seen a rise in cases but they almost always fall in the purview of easily manageable. We received a call from a client regarding a peculiar location for spiders in their home.
Our client in Carrum Downs asked us to assist in preparing their house for the impending arrival of their firstborn. The client seemed concerned with the number of spiders found in their new nursery.
Our technician arrived and completed an onsite risk assessment which identified dogs in the rear yard. With this in mind, we developed a management plan and discussed it with the client. The dogs were removed for the afternoon. We also provided an external barrier to the property, to help keep any more unwanted critters in the house.
We also treated the roof void and internally we applied another product that would control any existing spiders. This involved applying chemicals to the skirting boards and window sills and addressing all other cracks and crevices.
All chemicals used were appropriate for this environment and for the impending arrival of the new baby. We did have to ensure that our pregnant client remained away from the property for an extended period in accordance with the product label.
