Cockroaches In The Kitchen Calls For The Experts

Cockroaches – a common pest in many homes and also the unhealthy kind. In most cases, a food source acts as an incentive for their infestation. This is probably why cockroaches often find their homes in the kitchen.

Our client in Ascot Vale was beside herself when she had found cockroaches in her kitchen. She seemed concerned as she believed they were there because she was untidy. Our inspection found an immaculately clean kitchen and the source of the infestation.

Whilst cockroaches do enjoy an environment with a plentiful source of food (they will eat anything organic) on this occasion the small infestation was a result of a recent delivery. The cardboard box was still on site and there were still cockroaches in it. The infestation began shortly after the delivery itself. The box was left near a cupboard and our inspection found cockroach frass in this cupboard (see picture). The client thought that the pest was isolated in the kitchen.

Our program to rid the property of this pest is designed to ensure that we address any property hygiene concerns by educating the client and then implementing a chemical control treatment.
